Mandate lodge claim for 3pc pay increase in Dunnes Stores

Mandate Trade Union have now lodged a claim with Dunnes Stores for a 3% pay increase, secure banded hour contracts and a review of working hours to include the creation of a number of full time jobs.
Mandate, which represents 6,000 out of the 10,000 Dunnes Stores workers, lodged the claim yesterday (Thursday, 31st March 2016) and sought an immediate meeting with management to discuss the claim.
Having won three consecutive 3% pay increases over the past three years, the union said the last pay round has now expired and it’s time Dunnes workers were fairly rewarded for their hard work.
The full claim includes:
- 3% pay increase on all rates for a duration of 12 months from the expiry of the current pay round.
- Introduction of a mechanism which would allow for a minimum hourly increase arising from the application of the general increase in pay outlined above.
- Review of working hours to include the creation of a number of full time jobs.
