Mandate Trade Union are hosting a public meeting in Dún Laoghaire on the 6th of February  at 7pm in the Royal Marine Hotel to discuss the need for Secure Hours & a Living Wage:

– hear about the new secure hour contract legislation which passed over Christmas, where workers on low hours can now apply for a new secure hour contract. Learn where the Bill came from; what benefits workers could obtain from it; how they can enforce their entitlements; and what workers should do next. More information here

– learn about Mandate’s “Organise for €15” campaign and the need to lift wages and living standards for all retail and bar workers in Ireland.

If you are interested in attending, please leave your name below:

“Wouldn’t it be nice to have decent, secure employment that allows workers to thrive and participate in society rather than to merely survive. There’s no magic wand, but Mandate Trade Union believe it’s possible, and so should you. Come along to our pubic meeting and see how we can start this fight.” – Ken Reilly, Tesco Shop Steward & Chair of the Mandate South Dublin Local Council

Guest Speakers include:

Dr. Stevie Nolan, Trademark Belfast
Dave Gibney, Mandate Communications Officer

This event is hosted by the Mandate South Dublin Local Council
