What is a Contract of Employment?

A contract of employment is a legal agreement between you and Dunnes Stores. It outlines your rights, responsibilities, pay, and working conditions.

Under Irish law, you must receive:

  • A written statement of core terms within 5 days of starting work

  • A full written contract within 1 month

Your contract must comply with Irish employment legislation and is legally binding. The Dunnes Employee Handbook also forms part of your contractual terms.

  • Your actual rostered hours can vary between 15 and 39+ hours per week, depending on business needs
